FTP clients are popular tools that allow transferring files to and from an FTP server. FTP Explorer is one of the simplest tools of this kind. Its main characteristic is the fact that it comes with a familiar Explorer-like interface that any kind of users, including complete beginners, will be able to operate with ease.
The first thing that I like about this tool is that it lets the users choose one of the 4 available skins in order to change the look of the interface. FTP Explorer manages to offer handy additional features while it still remains lightweight and easy-to-use. Some of these features include automatically retrying to reconnect when the connection drops, resuming interrupted downloads, saving connection profiles, and many more.
Another thing I like about this simple and handy FTP client is that it allows setting file permissions and it supports performing operations using drag-and-drop.
In conclusion, FTP Explorer comes with no bells and whistles and yet it manages to impress me. It’s the perfect example that focusing on simplicity usually leads to the handiest tools.
